Bumps in service return to Casona

I love the food at Casona. I would highly recommend this Collingswood BYOB to anyone who enjoys Cuban and Latin cuisine. Now that I’ve gotten the obligatory clarification out of the way I have to say I was disappointed last night when I returned to Casona following my last review on February 21st.

We sat on the wrap around porch to enjoy the warm weather. Our server was very pleasant but it was obvious that she was juggling too many tables. There were several times that we had to ask other servers to locate her to place our order, get refills etc. In addition, the pace between our meals was all over the place. It took forever to get our bread basket. We got our appetizers and about two seconds after we put our forks down we turned around to see our entrees on their way out to our table. No breathing room to digest our appetizers. Dessert arrived within a reasonable time.

I can only assume that the unseasonable warm weather brought a larger crowd than normal to the restaurant last night. Hopefully, they’ll get acclimated to the large crowds now that the weather is getting nicer.

I was the one who went with you to Casona, and I would absolutely agree with you my cousin… but it was yummy!
