My New Foodie Project
I’m obsessed with learning how to work with dough. It’s a new obsession. I made a pecan piefrom scratch for Christmas dinner. I also recently made pizza from scratch. On both occasions the kitchen counter ended up looking like a crime scene. I had flour everywhere!
In each instance I had trouble figuring out the dimensions of the dough I was working with. Of course when presented with a foodie dilemna I consult my foodie friends for a solution. Low and behold the Magic Dough Pastry Mat:
The mat has printed guides that take the guesswork out of rolling out the right size dough. It’s also plastic with a nonslip back which will help secure it to my kitchen counter. Now I have to find a recipe to test out my new mat. Any suggestions?

Now THAT is a great idea! You are brave to do a dough from scratch – I’m still scared *LOL* Check out Sue at Food Network Musings. She has a foolproof dough recipe

Lys my first two attempts worked out pretty well but I definitely need more practice.
